This is an Urgent and Primary Care Centre that handles non-emergency medical concerns needing attention within 12 to 24 hours, such as cuts needing stitches, new infections, worsening pain, or new mental health concerns. Patients register either by phone or by coming into the centre, and a nurse then triages by calling back, usually within two hours, with those having the most urgent needs seen first. It operates seven days a week, including statutory holidays, and also offers scheduled primary care appointments on weekdays for patients already attached to a doctor or nurse practitioner there.
