Call Health Line 811 before heading to the ER if you are unsure whether your condition requires emergency care — a registered nurse can help you decide.
The emergency department operates on triage, not first-come-first-served. Patients with the most urgent needs are seen first, so be prepared for a possible wait if your condition is not immediately life-threatening.
If you require specialist care or procedures such as a caesarean section or epidural, note that these are not available at ANHH — you may be referred to a larger centre such as Regina General Hospital.
All patients — First Nations and non-First Nations — can request access to traditional healing services, Knowledge Keepers, traditional medicines, and spiritual counselling during their stay.
For non-emergency lab or diagnostic services, note that lab hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, so plan your visit accordingly.
