The Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing diagnostic and treatment services for acute life-threatening injuries and severe illnesses, including emergency labour and delivery and a Sexual Assault and Partner Abuse Care Program. As a rural regional hospital, it offers a broad scope of care — including telehealth specialist consultations via the Ontario Telehealth Network — so patients in the catchment area can access specialist support without travelling long distances.
