The Emergency Department at Trillium Health Partners – Mississauga Hospital is one of the largest emergency departments in Canada, serving the central and southern neighbourhoods of Mississauga, ON with 24/7 acute care. Organized into six specialized zones — including resuscitation and trauma, acute psychiatric care, urgent care, and a dedicated pediatric area — this 751-bed regional hospital is equipped to handle everything from life-threatening emergencies to complex multi-system conditions. As a University of Toronto-affiliated teaching hospital and home to specialized regional programs in cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, stroke care, and vascular services, this is one of the most comprehensive acute care facilities in Ontario.
