The Niagara Health System – Welland Hospital Site operates a 24/7 emergency department serving Welland and surrounding Niagara communities from its location at 65 Third Street. With a history dating back to 1908, this full-service hospital provides emergency and critical care alongside a broad range of specialties including surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics, ophthalmology, and psychiatry. The Welland Hospital is the primary acute care destination for a population of more than 70,000 residents and is designated in the Niagara Health Master Plan to maintain 24/7 emergency services.
