In addition to the emergency department, the site offers critical care, surgical services, medicine, complex care, outpatient mental health and addictions, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory services, as well as access to cancer, cardiac, stroke, and kidney care through the broader Niagara Health network.
Can I bring a family member or support person with me to the ER?
Yes. Niagara Health's Essential Care Partner (ECP) program allows you to designate up to two loved ones to provide emotional, cognitive, or physical support as part of your care team. One person is permitted at the bedside at a time.
Is there food available at the hospital during an ER visit?
Yes. There is a Tim Hortons on site, and vending machines offering hot and cold beverages and snacks are available 24 hours a day in the Emergency Department waiting area.
What parking options are available at the Niagara Falls hospital site?
On-site parking is available with a gated ticket system. Payment is made at indoor kiosks by Visa or MasterCard before you leave — debit is not accepted. If the main lot is full, overflow parking is accessible from North St at the back of the hospital. Monthly parking passes are also available for frequent visitors.
