Quieter times: No historical wait-time data is currently available for this location. As a general guide, pediatric ERs in large urban centres tend to be less congested on weekday mornings and early afternoons. For non-life-threatening concerns, arriving earlier in the day on a weekday often means shorter waits.
Busier times: Evenings, weekends, and school holidays typically see higher volumes at pediatric emergency departments. Respiratory illness season (fall and winter) also increases demand significantly at children's hospitals. If your child's condition is not immediately life-threatening, consider calling your family doctor or a nurse hotline before heading in during these peak periods.
Emergency departments use triage. Patients with more serious conditions are seen first, regardless of arrival time.
Wait times are estimates based on Quebec health data. Actual wait times may vary.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
